SF – 500 | SYNTHETIC COMPRESSOR OILS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The SELCO SF-500 Series are a family of fully synthetic industrial lubricants developed specifically for refrigeration compressor. They are especially formulated, synthesized hydrocarbon lubricants for severe service under conditions that are beyond the capabilities of conventional mineral oils. In addition, they improve the performance and efficiency of standard refrigeration system compared to conventional mineral oils.

These four grades have very low pour points, zero wax content, a high natural viscosity index and thermal stability. They exhibit greater chemical stability in the presence of refrigerants and other systems components, and have a low volatility. Their low solubility makes them suitable for systems using refrigerants such as R12, R22, R114, R717(AMMONIA), R600a and R-290.

 

RECOMMENDED USAGE:

SELCO SF-500 is a synthetic refrigeration compressor lubricant compatible with R12, R22, R114, R717 (Ammonia), R600a, and R-290. It is fully miscible with conventional mineral oils. If accidentally mixed with mineral oils, some reduction in the superior performance characteristics of the synthetic lubricant may occur. However, the lubricant can remain in service until a convenient system change is possible.
